Christine J. Sabas, Esquire, is a graduate of the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University. She received her undergraduate degree from Lebanon Valley College, specifically a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, with a concentration in criminal justice. As a naturalized citizen (originally from Shiraz, Iran), she focuses her practice upon immigration law. Representative cases include Bhupinder Singh v. Attorney General, USA, No. 04-4261 (3rd Circuit) (a precedent decision) and Sameh Sami S. Khouzam v. Alberto Gonzales, Michael J. Garcia, John P. Carbone, Edmond C. Cicci, Civil Action NO. 05-2443 (DMC) (U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey), which was featured by the Reuters news agency. Current representative clients include Bucknell University and Susquehanna University. She previously worked for Catholic Charities, Immigration Legal Services in Baltimore, Maryland and was a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable William Van Wyke and the Honorable Walter A. Durling at the Executive Office for Immigration Review, York Immigration Court.
Attorney Sabas also has extensive experience in all aspects of juvenile law as she previously was a juvenile defender, representing all juveniles at adjudication hearings, disposition hearings and placement review hearings as the juvenile defender at the Union County Public Defender and as the First Assistant Public Defender at the Snyder County Public Defender's office. She is currently the solicitor for Union County Children and Youth Services in which she represents and advises the agency in all matters relating to but not limited to dependency, permanency review, termination of parental rights, general protective services as well as child abuse referrals.
Attorney Sabas also appears as either the keynote speaker or presenter, and offers commentary on immigration or juvenile law issues. She has been invited to speak by the following:
